These buttons are called Deaths Head Buttons and are my favourite button types to create. They are very versatile as you can do block colours or create patterns by changing up the threads. I have experimented with many different threads and thicknesses, as well as different size buttons blanks. I have also started experimenting with attaching beads.

These buttons can lend themselves to being used as actual buttons, as adornments on clothing, decorations and soft furnishings.
